Louth Traditional Thai Massage Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 26th September 2026

About us

Louth Traditional Thai Massage is operated by Mrs S Hill, a sole trader trading as Louth Thai Massage (“we”, “us” and “our”).

Our treatment rooms and contact address are Waterside Cottage, Charles Street, Louth, Lincolnshire, LN11 0LE.

Email: [email protected]
Telephone/text: 07579 036959

These terms explain how we provide appointments and gift vouchers. Please read them before booking or buying a voucher. The version provided when you book or purchase applies to that transaction. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

Appointments

Visits are by appointment only. Please book through the Fresha booking system linked from our website, or contact us if you need help.

A booking is confirmed when you receive confirmation from us or Fresha. Please check the treatment, therapist, date, time, duration and price, and contact us promptly if anything is incorrect.

Our appointments last 60 or 120 minutes, depending on the service booked. Couples appointments are for two people receiving treatment at the same time; the duration shown is the time for each person. We allow time between appointments, which is separate from your booked treatment.

The treatment rooms are on the first floor and there is no lift. Please contact us before booking if you would like to discuss access or other requirements.

Prices and payment

Prices are stated in pounds sterling. The total price, including any applicable taxes and agreed additions, will be made clear before you confirm your booking or purchase. We will agree any change to the service or price with you before proceeding.

Unless otherwise stated when booking, payment is due at the end of your appointment. We accept cash, the credit/debit cards supported by our payment provider, and valid Louth Traditional Thai Massage vouchers.

Fresha may require payment-card details to secure an appointment. Any deposit, prepayment or authorisation will be explained during booking. Providing card details does not itself mean that the treatment price has been paid. Any cancellation or no-show charge is subject to the policy below and the authorisation obtained during booking.

Changing or cancelling an appointment

Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange. You can use the link in your confirmation where available, or contact us by text, telephone or email. If the online option is no longer available, please contact us directly. Notice is measured from when we receive your message, rather than when we are able to reply.

Our cancellation policy is:

Cancellations with at least 12 hours’ notice: no fee.
Cancellations with less than 12 hours’ notice: 50% late-cancellation fee.
Missed appointments: 100% no-show fee.

These are maximum charges, not automatic penalties. Any charge will be reasonable and will not exceed our net loss from the cancellation or missed appointment, taking account of costs saved and whether we fill the appointment. We will not recover the same loss twice. Any prepayment already retained will count towards, rather than be added to, the applicable charge.

We understand that illness and emergencies happen and consider exceptional circumstances individually. Please contact us promptly; do not attend while unwell simply to avoid a cancellation fee. Any legal right to cancel without a charge takes priority over this policy.

If repeated late cancellations or missed appointments make a prepayment necessary for future bookings, we will explain this before accepting a further booking. Prepayments remain subject to these terms and your statutory rights.

Arriving for your appointment

Please aim to arrive five minutes before your appointment. New customers are asked to complete a health questionnaire, which we also update periodically.

If you arrive late, we may need to shorten the treatment to avoid delaying the next appointment. Please contact us if you are running late. We will explain the options and any applicable charge; if treatment cannot go ahead, any charge will be assessed fairly under the cancellation policy rather than imposed automatically.

If we need to cancel or materially change your appointment, we will contact you as soon as possible. You may accept a suitable alternative or receive a refund of any payment for the appointment. If a voucher was used, we will restore its value and, where necessary, provide a reasonable extension so you can rebook. This does not limit any other rights you may have.

Suitability, consent and professional boundaries

Our services are professional massage treatments for relaxation and general wellbeing. We do not diagnose medical conditions or provide a substitute for medical advice or treatment, and we do not guarantee a particular result.

Please tell your therapist about relevant health conditions, injuries, allergies, medication, pregnancy or changes to your health. If you are pregnant, receiving cancer treatment or unsure whether massage is appropriate, contact us before booking and seek advice from the healthcare professional responsible for your care.

We may adapt, postpone or decline a treatment if it would be outside our training or insurance cover, or if we cannot safely proceed. We will explain the reason and discuss any appropriate alternative. No automatic fee applies merely because a treatment proves unsuitable; any charge will be considered fairly in the circumstances and subject to your rights.

Your comfort and consent matter throughout the appointment. Please tell us if you would like the pressure changed, a technique avoided or the treatment stopped. You may withdraw consent to treatment at any time.

Traditional Thai Massage is fully clothed. For oil-based treatments, underwear must remain on and appropriate towel covering is provided.

We provide professional massage services only. Sexual requests, harassment, threatening behaviour and inappropriate touching are not accepted. We may end an appointment immediately where necessary to protect staff or customers. Any charge will be proportionate to services provided and any recoverable loss, subject to your statutory rights.

Gift vouchers

Vouchers can be purchased through our linked Fresha voucher store. Please check the value or treatment covered, expiry date and any offer conditions before buying. Unless a different period is clearly stated at purchase, vouchers are valid for 12 months from the purchase date.

Appointments are subject to availability. Please book sufficiently early to use your voucher before it expires, and provide the voucher code when paying.

We will explain any additional amount payable for a different or higher-priced treatment before you confirm it. A voucher used to secure an appointment remains subject to the cancellation policy, but we will not deduct a fee from the voucher and charge your card for the same loss.

Keep your voucher code safe. If a code is lost, please contact us with proof of purchase so we can investigate whether it can be recovered. Please contact us before expiry if you are having difficulty arranging an appointment.

Voucher purchases remain subject to any statutory cancellation and refund rights. Nothing in an expiry date or promotional condition removes those rights.

Online purchases and cancellation rights

For vouchers purchased online, you may have a statutory cooling-off period in addition to our appointment cancellation policy. Where the law provides a 14-day right to cancel, you may exercise it without giving a reason by sending a clear cancellation request to our email or postal address above. Any refund due will be made within the applicable legal deadline, normally using the original payment method and without a refund fee.

If you ask us to start a service during an applicable cooling-off period, we will obtain the express request and information acknowledgements required by law before doing so. Where legally permitted, you may need to pay a proportionate amount for work already provided. A statutory cancellation right is lost following full performance only where the required conditions have been met.

You may use the following cancellation wording, but do not have to:

“To Louth Traditional Thai Massage, Waterside Cottage, Charles Street, Louth, Lincolnshire, LN11 0LE; [email protected]. I give notice that I cancel my contract for [service/voucher]. Ordered on: [date]. Customer name: [name]. Customer address: [address]. Date: [date]. Signature: [only required if sent on paper].”

Problems and complaints

If you are unhappy with your appointment or purchase, please contact us using the details above and explain what happened. We will investigate and discuss an appropriate resolution.

We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. If we fail to do so, you retain the remedies available under consumer law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Website and personal information

Please do not misuse our website or attempt to interfere with its security. Website text and photographs must not be used in ways that infringe the rights of their owners; this does not prevent uses permitted by law.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Fresha and other external services also have their own applicable terms and privacy notices. These do not remove our responsibilities to you for the services we provide.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms for future bookings and purchases. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights attached to an existing booking or voucher.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. This does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections or rights to bring proceedings in another court where the law entitles them to do so.
